Our business objective is to provide attractive risk-adjusted total returns over the long term through a combination of capital appreciation and the payment of regular monthly distributions. We invest in residential mortgage-backed securities which are issued and guaranteed by a federally chartered corporation or agency (“Agency RMBS”). We fund these investments through short-term borrowings structured as repurchase agreements. Income generated for distribution to our shareholders is based primarily on the net interest margin earned on our leveraged Agency RMBS portfolio.
